Hopi Ear Candling, also known as Thermo-Auricular Therapy, is a deeply relaxing, pain free, calming and soothing treatment, offering real and noticeable benefits for many problems and conditions associated with the ear, nose and throat. When lit, the candles have a physical function. A light suction action (chimney effect) and the movement of the flame create a vibration of air in the candle which gently massages the ear and encourages the secretion of the frontal and paranasal sinuses. |

The vapours of the herbs and essential oils that are contained in the candle are released and drawn into the ear canal. This not only has a massaging effect but also softens any impurities. The vapour collects and removes most of these impurities through the candle’s chimney effect. Although some can be found in the candle residue after the treatment and some may continue to work their way out of the ear canal up to 48 hours after the treatment. |
